Generating our sales orders with the proper information in an efficient manner was difficult. The out-of-the-box ERP functionality for generating part numbers did not meet very well with our requirements.
Having multiple offices needing to access one database further complicated this, along with new part numbers being very common. New part numbers had to be entered quickly and easily, with all the underlying information necessary to make the part created in the system on the fly.

Our original MFG/PRO integrated EDI solution was not meeting our needs. Inbound releases received from our customers were not able to be loaded into the system properly, and the result was incorrect and rejected shipments. We also had a difficult time sending accurate ASN's. Our EDI system was causing us multiple problems instead of solving them.
